First Big Creative Zen Touch Review

The Device Viking conquers all again. He's got another photo-packed, first on the web review. This time the victim is the new Creative Zen Touch (machine translation here).

Don't miss the sequence of photos that compare the dimensions of the Zen Touch, a new 4G iPod and an older iPod. Creative did manage to shrink the Zen Touch down to iPod size in the length and width dimensions, but in depth there is no comparison. However, much of that extra space is probably taken up by the battery that gives the Zen Touch twice the battery life of the 4G iPod.

Pros: This unit offers durability, ease of use, great sound, 24 hour battery life ( I got 22 hrs out of it the first use) and competitive price. I am very satisfied with the player. It took me 10-15 minutes to become comfortable with the menu and xfering software that is included with the player. The touch navigation is very responsive and exact. It's very sturdy and well built. It comes with an included leather case and headphones. Cons: The case is anoying. It keeps the player well protected, but you have to remove it to get at the players buttons. Pulling the unit in and out will change your music selection unless you have locked the player. It's kind of heavy. Could second as a self-defense weapon. Over all I love it though.

My zen touch was a great machine until the warranty expired. Now the machine will not turn on or charge and I have lost 20GB of transferred music. They will look at the machine for a cost of £100 so I am better off buying new.
