iRiver H300 Firmware Updated

iRiver has just released a small update for the firmware for its new H300 devices today. It looks as if only a couple of bugs have been fixed in this version, but what's notable is that iRiver still hasn't released the long-promised major firmware updates for both the H3xx and H1xx devices. iRiver has already missed the deadlines they set for themselves twice and the iRiver community forums are filled with antsy users demanding satisfaction.

PS: we apologize for the recent lack of updates. We've been buried in a lot of RL work, but we're working to catch up now.

i have owned an iriver h300 since about feburary 2005 and was very happy with it originally when cool new firmware was comeing out for it, but this soon stopped and i was left with an mp3 player that was becomeing out of date very quickly. i trusted iriver would try to keep customers by releasing new (promised) firmware, but instead i have lost all faith and i am considering buying an ipod!!! this is really pissing me off as i saved up for ages to buy this "top of the line" mp3 player.. bulls***!

Rockbox is an open source firmware replacement that I use and am very happy with.
