The Apple iPod is the undisputed king of audio player accessories with hundreds of third-party products available, but Vaja give Rio some love with their snappy leather Rio Carbon case.
The case that comes with the Carbon covers the display, but the Vaja case lets you see the display and access all the controls. Available in blue and brown, they are kind of spendy at around $55, but you can even get them embossed with a message. Kind of like engraving your iPod, but in leather. [Via Gear Live]
does anyone have problem with the volume with the carbon. Even at the highest volume it is hard to hear when i'm driving. I have a 2005 vehicle so it is fairly quite
Posted by: greg goodman at December 13, 2004 06:56 PMyou can use the equalizer to make it much, much louder than most other players.
Posted by: jabber at December 27, 2004 11:11 PMI had same problem with the volume on the Carbon until I swithed to a pair of Shure EC3 in ear headphones with foam ear pieces. Now I rarely need to adjust the volume over 15. Saves on the battery also.
Posted by: Steve at January 11, 2005 06:08 PMhas anyone found a good case with a clip thats not high priced
Posted by: olrac at February 12, 2005 06:22 AMThere's a decent $20 case from http://www.mindknob.com/ for the rio carbon. You can get a belt clip and car mounting clip for it, and the cover comes in black or "shark skin".
Posted by: tommo at July 12, 2005 05:22 PMI haven't found a cover but have found a guy on e-bay selling fantastic mp3 armband which my rio carbon fits perfectly. It is great for the gym, cycling, walking etc.
It is a Body Glove MP3 Armband and the Ebay Item number: 5866391527. Hurry though cos they are selling fast.
