Rio Says "Me Too!" to 6GB
In the wake of every other device, Rio has announced that it too will upgrade its mini-sized audio player, the Carbon, to 6GB. It is supposed to be available June 1st and will retail for $229 [Via Engadget].
Editorial note: does Rio even care about this market anymore? They haven't released a new product in forever and the long-rumored Karma 2 is nowhere to be seen. Apple, iRiver, Creative, Archos and everyone else are actively moving their product lines forward with nary a peep out of Rio. What's gives?
I couldnt agree more about Rio. They have REALLY been caught asleep at the wheel. No new Rio Chroma - seeing as preliminary words of a colour screen and a mere 20gb along with a 12hr battery was met with such derision, I believe they've had a rethink and its taken them longer because they've scrapped the feeble original ideas for the Chroma.

Nobody seemed to have it and there were plenty of reported problems and I figured they'd have some updated to it soon. Eventually I went with Archos XS200 after getting sick of waiting and it works fine for me. In that time Rio has come out with no upgrade from the Karma. Not every inspiring.
